Welcome to Merriments Café and Gardens in East Sussex
Nestled in the heart of the East Sussex countryside, Merriments Gardens is a beautifully designed four-acre destination offering a rich and ever-changing landscape to explore throughout the year. Combining stunning seasonal planting, tranquil water features, wildlife habitats and welcoming hospitality, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing day out.
Wander through carefully curated borders, ornamental arches and layered planting schemes filled with a wide variety of flowers and shrubs. Seasonal highlights include iris, clematis, poppies and herbs, alongside an evolving mix of planting that ensures colour and interest in every season.
Throughout the gardens, peaceful water features create a calming atmosphere, including a charming Monet-style bridge and gently flowing streams. Thoughtfully positioned seating areas invite visitors to pause, relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Nature and wildlife are at the heart of the Merriments experience. Explore meadow areas alive with pollinators, discover bee hives nestled among the planting, and visit the bird hide for opportunities to observe native species in their natural habitat.
